About Us
Stitch Fix is the personal style service for men and women that evolves with your tastes, needs and lifestyle.

What We Stand For
It’s our mission to change the way people find clothes they love by combining technology with the personal touch of seasoned style experts. The Stitch Fix experience is not merely curated—it’s truly personalized to you. We’re here to help you save time, look great and evolve your personal style over time.
How We Got Here
Founder Katrina Lake created Stitch Fix to blend the human element of personal styling with high-quality clothing and proprietary algorithms. She shipped the first Stitch Fix order out of her Cambridge apartment in 2011 while attending Harvard, and today the company has brought the exclusive shopping experience to millions of men and women nationwide. In 2016, we launched men’s, and extended our women’s offerings to include plus sizes in 2017.
Our Stylists
We’re proud to work with thousands of passionate Stylists from all over the U.S. They’re trendsetters and fashion experts who are motivated to learn about your style and evolving needs, in order to find the perfect pieces for you. Your Style Profile answers and continued feedback powers the engine of the Stitch Fix experience.
Our Executive Team

Katrina Lake is the Founder and Executive Chairperson of Stitch Fix. In her ten years as CEO, Katrina led Stitch Fix from an idea to a company that now serves millions of clients across the US and UK. She is one of around only 20 female founders to have led a company to an initial public offering. In bringing her toddler along to the Nasdaq bell ringing, she redefined not just retail but the idea of what a CEO should look like. As part of her commitment to building the workplace of the future, Katrina has ensured diversity is in the Stitch Fix DNA from the very beginning. The management team is over 60% female, and in 2018 Stitch Fix was recognized by Boardlist as a public company with the most diverse board. Katrina was included on Fortune’s 40 Under 40 List four years running, from 2016 to 2019, Vanity Fair’s New Establishment List in 2017, and Marie Claire’s New Guard List in 2017 & 2018. Katrina holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University. She was recognized by Parsons New School as one of the most innovative forces in Fashion, Technology, Sustainability and the Arts in 2019, and by BUILD for her entrepreneurial achievements and her personal involvement as a former BUILD Mentor. She also appeared as a guest Shark on ABC’s Shark Tank on Season 11. She serves on the board of fellow disruptor, Glossier, is a mentor to many, and is a mother to three children.
