Let me be among the first to wish you a happy birthday! My gift to you is a few tips & outfit ideas for your trip to the Big Apple.
Here’s what to wear in NYC in the spring:
1. Deck yourself out in athleisure:
Contrary to what some think, it’s fairly simple to nail weekend & sidewalk-ready style. Not sure about athleisure? Try pairing leggings & sneakers with a tissue tee & effortless anorak. It’s sure to keep you dry in New York’s unpredictable weather but it’s perfect for a day of sightseeing.
2. Step outside of your fashion comfort zone:
You’re in arguably the fashion capital of the world, so use this trip as an opportunity to step outside your comfort zone. Have you ever wanted to try a trend that you were intimidated by? Now’s the time. Play with proportions, wear a statement piece or try new ways of layering. One of our favorite spring transitional looks? Pair a long, shirt dress partially unbuttoned layered with a cropped sweater, wide-leg trousers and a nude pump to show off your city-ready style chops.
3. Plan your outfits in advance:
You’ll feel prepared & confident about your choices. Then, take a look at our tips for breezing through airport security so you can get there smoothly, safely & stylishly. Have fun!
