Lace-ups are having a serious moment this spring, from ballet flats to d’Orsays to sandals. Keep those laces in place by tying them around your ankle below your calf muscle, at the slimmest part of your ankle. Don’t bother using up all of the lace length by wrapping and wrapping. Try a few wraps, letting a little skin show between each wrap, and finish the tie with a little bow or knot. This technique will keep your shoes in place, and (bonus!) will elongate your legs as well.
