Shirts with intricate or open backs are gaining a lot of fashion traction this summer. Stumped on how to style these pieces or not ready to show so much skin? Read on for tips on what to wear under a split back top:

• Try layering your top over a fitted cami for a bit of extra coverage. You can opt for a neutral (think black, white or skin-tone) or go for a pop of color, like coral.
•  If the weather permits and you are feeling daring, grab a lace tank or even a lace bralette. You can treat this split-back piece like any other layering top, opting for as much or as little coverage as you like.

Layer on a few delicate necklaces or a lariat to keep the front of your shirt just as interesting as the back!
