Coastal Casual Summer Attire

The vibe: Everyday cool with a seaside twist. Think of it as your go-to for relaxed days when you still want to look put together. This trend plays with classic Americana: denim shorts, breezy button-downs and effortless midi and maxi dresses. All in a summery red, white and blue palette. Stylist Michelle adds, “Nautical stripes are a major ‘yes!’ They’re so classic and can be dressed up or down.”

Your new go-to uniform: High-rise denim shorts with a tucked-in striped tee and white sneakers. If you’re more into a one-and-done outfit, opt for a breezy midi dress and some flat sandals—done!

Maxi Dress Styles

Speaking of one-and-done dresses, this summer is all about easygoing elegance. Maxi dresses are the dress length of summer 2025. From ruffly event-ready styles to breezy everyday staples, this trend proves that a longer hemline can still be playful. Keep an eye out for special details like tie straps, open backs, ruching and subtle textures that add that little something extra.

“A great maxi dress anchors your whole outfit—just change your shoes and accessories to take it from the beach to dinner.” To style your maxi dress this summer,  pair a flowy floral dress with some chunky slide sandals and a woven tote for daytime. Transform it into a nighttime look with some kitten heels and a sleek clutch.

Vacation Vibes for Summer ‘25

Even if you don’t have travel plans, you can still dress like you do. “Think resort-wear meets everyday casual,” says Stylist Michelle. Top trends for this summer include all the bold colors. We’re talking citrusy orange, ocean blue, sunny yellow and jungle green. Michelle adds, “For bonus points, wear these bold colors in playful prints! Tropical florals and geometric patterns are the vibe.”

Look for these prints and colors in breezy fabrics like linen and gauze, and textural touches like crochet, raffia and rattan. Think bright green linen pants with a white crochet tank and strappy sandals. Or, a bold-printed wrap skirt with a simple cami and raffia tote. So fun!

Sporty Summer Outfits

This summer’s new MVP: athletic energy meets streetwear cool. It’s all the comfort of athleisure—upgraded with matching sets, tennis-inspired dresses and retro sneakers galore.  Stylist Landess weighs in: “A tennis dress is cute and easy, but looks like lots of effort—double win!” The palette leans poppy and fun—think neon pinks, bright greens and electric blues

Our fave ways to wear include rocking a monochrome set with bike shorts and a cropped tank, topped with a relaxed zip-up. Tie it over your shoulders if it starts to heat up! Or, make it easy (yet cute) with a tennis dress and a pair of vintage-looking sneakers. The perfect court-to-coffee kind of look.

The Best Jeans for Summer

This season is all about upgrading your denim and showing some love to the classics. It brings fresh silhouettes—barrel legs, wide-leg crops, cuffed hems and relaxed fits—into the spotlight. And for summer, it’s all about lighter washes and white denim to keep things breezy. “Summer is the perfect time for white denim,” says Landess—we couldn’t agree more.

The easiest summer formula: jeans + tee + sandals. The fit and style is what takes this tried-and-true combo up a notch. Style a pair of barrel-leg jeans with a ribbed tank and add your fave sandals. Tip: When trying out a new denim shape (like barrel leg), keep the rest of your outfit fitted or tucked-in for balance. Another fave summer denim uniform: grab a pair of relaxed shorts, a striped tee and pop-of-color sandals.

Boho Summery Staples

Relaxed boho styles are in for summer ‘25. It’s all about ease—with soft silhouettes, elevated and artistic prints and desert-inspired tones (think clay, sand and terracotta). This more refined take on boho is perfect for casual Fridays or market strolls. Stylist Landess suggests: “Look for pieces that move with you—this trend shines when it’s flowy, light and unfussy.”

Try something like a looser-fit geometric print skirt paired with a neutral top and ankle-wrap sandals. Easy, breezy ‘fits all summer long!

Summer Night Out Styles

When the sun goes down, the style heats up. Chic going-out styles like mesh dresses, mini skirts, silky slip dresses and asymmetric tops all play a part here. The color story is bold: sultry red, bright orange, black, green and leopard print.

“Let one statement piece be the star—balance a bold maxi with a simple shoe and keep accessories sleek,” suggests Michelle. Another look we love? Opt for a brightly-colored skirt and asymmetric or halter tank in classic black for a sleek date-night look.
