When the weather gets warmer, it often means that the hemlines get shorter. But like we said before, we all have those areas that we love to flaunt and areas that we’d rather not show off. If you have more athletic calves and you’re hoping to keep them more under wraps—read on!
Here’s how to dress to downplay your calves:
- Wedges or thicker heels slim your legs. Pointed toe shoes (flats or heels) will also add length to your legs, slimming your frame.
- Try jeans with wider legs or a bootcut. Bootcut, flare and wide leg pants are ultra-flattering on every figure. The wider leg opening balances your hips and conceals your calves. Pair it with heels or wedges and your legs will look miles long!
- Don’t shy away from dresses and skirts. Instead of a pencil skirt, wider create an hourglass shape and work to slim your legs. For the most flattering fit, opt for a midi length skirt that hits at the slimmest part of your leg.
Once the cooler weather starts to roll in, try out a pair of tall, riding boots or an ankle bootie paired with tonal pants for the ultimate leg-lengthening effect!
