How would you describe your body shape?
Straight and athletic. Although, I feel more like a pear right now at 7 months pregnant!
How would you describe your personal style?
Minimalistic. I adopted the capsule wardrobe about a year ago and I really enjoy the simplicity of a seasonal closet full of clothes I actually love to wear. If I don’t wear it, I don’t keep it. All of my clothes consist of colors and patterns that are easy to mix and match.
Has your shape informed the way that you dress?
Absolutely! I don’t usually think, “this top is great for my straight/rectangular body type.” But I know what styles make me feel good about my body so I stick with those.
What is your go-to piece and why?
When I’m not wearing skinny jeans and a tee, I usually opt for a semi-casual jumpsuit with cinching at the waist. Jumpsuits compliment my athletic shape and they’re so fun to dress up or down.
What outfit makes you feel amazing?
Blue jeans and a white top. I feel amazing when my clothes are comfortable and authentically mirror my personality (easy-going, not flashy). Jeans and white tops seem to do that for me.
Any styling tips and tricks you can share?
Be open to trying new styles and trends, but pay attention to the clothes in your closet that you wear and the clothes that you don’t. That difference will guide the creation of your very unique personal style. Then celebrate what you love and wear it often!
