How would you describe your body shape?
I am the definition of a pear. I tend to carry my weight in my booty, hips and legs and have a very long torso.
What’s your height?
How would you describe your personal style?
It has definitely evolved a lot since I became a mom 2 and a half years ago! I still absolutely gravitate toward feminine dresses and color but now that I’m running around after a toddler and expecting a baby in June, I have put a much greater emphasis on comfortable, casual clothing. The whole athleisure trend came at a GREAT time for me but if I have a kid-free activity on the agenda, I will often opt for something girly, like a flirty dress and wedges in the warmer months.
How has your pregnancy influenced the way you dress?
I’ve admittedly struggled with figuring out how to dress myself during pregnancy but comfort is key for me right now. I love oversized sweaters with leggings, jeans and ankle booties and cannot resist a comfy pair of joggers, v-neck tee and denim jacket.
What is your go-to figure-flattering piece and why?
When I’m not pregnant, I love an A-line dress since it seems to be quite feminine and flattering to a pear-shaped body type.
What outfit makes you feel amazing?
Aside from a new dress and some fun heels, I actually really LOVE cute loungewear. Maybe it’s because my husband says he prefers a natural look, but I tend to feel most comfortable and like myself when I’m at home in some cute, cozy clothes with no makeup, my hair in a messy bun and slippers. Thanks to my Stylist for sending some of the cozy pullovers and joggers I wear on repeat my way!
Any styling tips and tricks you can share?
I think knowing your body type is key! There are some styles I love but just cannot seem to pull off which can feel frustrating but I think embracing our bodies and dressing to flatter our best features works wonders. Also, don’t be afraid to try new trends that you think you can’t pull off! I swore up and down I could never rock a romper but it was just a matter of finding the right romper for me and my shape.
