How would you describe your body shape?
Straight and thick. I’m not especially curvy, but I have thick thighs, a nice butt, and boobs to boot.
What’s your height?
5’9″
How would you describe your personal style?
I’m a cross between modern classic and trendy. I love my closet of basics, but I turn it up with some bold prints and bright colors. My day-to-day accessories are kept to a minimum and I can’t live without gold hoops. On weekends and special occasions, you can count on me to break out my statement pieces, whether it’s a gold leather coat, tassel jewelry and I’m not afraid to mix stripes and plaid and leopard print, too.
Has your body shape informed the way that you dress?
When I was younger, I wanted to wear a lot of trendy pieces, and being a tall girl, a lot of them I couldn’t pull off well. Now, I embrace my height and my size by wearing things that highlight the things I love about my body. Wrap dresses give me more a defined waist and great cleavage. Double-breasted shirts can be tricky, but can be pulled off even when you’re blessed in the chest! Legs? I love to show my long limbs off! Because I don’t really have hips, sometimes dresses and skirts can fit a little bit odd, and if it’s something I love and is made well, I’ll get the item tailored so I can really look my best.
What is your go-to figure-flattering piece and why?
High-waisted jeans that are fitted, but not super tight. They lift up my butt and smooth out my middle. I love tying or tucking a shirt in to really show off!
What outfit makes you feel amazing?
I’m not sure I can choose one thing, but I’m all about comfort, no matter if I’m dressing up or dressing down. When I’m dressed comfortably, and I throw on some red lipstick, I feel like I can take over the world.
Any styling tips and tricks you can share?
When selecting pieces that you want to put in your wardrobe, not only pick pieces that feel and look good on you but pick pieces that you can wear a few different ways. You’ll be surprised at how much fun getting dressed can be when you challenge yourself! That’s also how you can unlock your personal style! You’ll feel more confident and even keep some money in your pocketbook.
