Molly Stillman of Still Being Molly
“In my early 20s, I was drawn to preppy styles. When I hit my ‘quarter-life-crisis,’ I loved edgier looks and bold statement pieces. When I got married and started having children, I started to hide behind baggy and unflattering clothes. When you have two kids attached to you, it can be hard to find your identity, but I love that fashion gives me a creative outlet, and is something that makes me feel beautiful. In the past few years, I have really come to love the skin I’m in and embrace my curves.”
How has your Stylist helped you discover your personal style?
“When my Stylist sends me a Fix, I always try on everything, even if I think I won’t like it… because more often than not, I end up loving the piece that I thought I’d hate. Now, after having received over 30 fixes, my Stylist has really helped me hone in on what styles work for my body type and my lifestyle.”
Do you have any tips on how to get your best Fix?
- Fill out your Style Profile as complete as possible—and keep it updated! Are you pregnant? Update it! Did you lose some weight? Update it! Looking to try a new trend? Update it! When you fill out your Style Profile on the Stitch Fix app, you can add a picture of yourself so your Stylist knows what you looks like.
- Curate a Pinterest board. Stylists love looking at their clients’ boards. The more you update your board, the more your Stylist will get a picture of what you like
- Leave a detailed note for your Stylist. Like, really detailed.

Marquis Clarke of Simply Clarke
“My personal style has been pretty consistent over the past few years. However, it has slightly changed since I had my daughter a year and a half ago. I would describe my style as classic, mommy casual. You can normally find me in jeans and a cute top with an occasional comfy dress.”
How do you communicate with your Stylist?
“Communicating with your Stylist is key to receiving pieces that you love in your Fix. I always leave detailed notes for my Stylist, and in the details on my Pinterest pins. I also leave a lot of feedback in my checkout survey after I receive a box so that my Stylist can better learn my style for the next Fix.”

“I am an avid Stitch Fixer. I’m addicted to getting Fixes delivered to my doorstep. Over the past three years of receiving fixes, I have learned a few things about how to get a great Fix that is perfect for your unique style. The first thing I do is pin items that I love to a Stitch Fix board on Pinterest. I make sure that each item I pin is for the current weather, colors I love, and most importantly, styles that I will actually wear and are good for my body type.”

Joanne Mason of Fabulously Average
“I’d have to describe my personal style as a cross between trendy tomboy and bohemian hippie. I love myself a good jeans-and-tee combo, but feel most comfortable in a dress paired with sneakers. I wear clothes based on mood and work. Oh, and all of this with a mom twist, of course. Almost everything I wear has to allow me to jump, run, play, crawl, carry—you name it!”
How do you think your style will shift in five years? Ten years?
“In the last five years my style has changed drastically. It has gone from ‘look at me!’ to something a little more refined—yet still my personality. I think one’s style is supposed to change with the evolution of their lives. So in five or ten years I hope to still represent some semblance of myself, in that particular stage of my life.”
Do you have any tips for our readers on how to get their best Fix?
“Be honest with yourself and your style. When it comes to the style survey answer honestly, this is the only way your Stylist can get a feel for your personal style. It’s easy to communicate with your Stylist, so don’t be afraid to tell them what you like and what you don’t like. It will only better your Fix.”
