Figuring out to wear is hard enough, but figuring which colors look best? Don’t worry, we break down how to figure out your skin tone and then which colors will complement your skin tone!
First thing’s first—let’s experiment:
Which metallic shade looks best? Ask yourself what metallic jewelry looks best on you. If you look glam in gold, then your skin is warm-toned. If silver, then you’re likely a cool-toned person. Look fab in both? Naturally, you have a neutral skin tone.
Do you tan or burn when out in the sun too long? If you turn red, cool tone. Golden tan, warm tone.
Which neutrals really pop on you? If you look amazing in blacks and whites, then you’re probably cool. How about ivory, brown or tan? Warm tones. Both? Neutral.
If you’re a warm tone wear: You’ll look best in tones that reflect your golden hue! Think camel, gold, shades of red, burgundy and pink.
If you’re a cool tone wear: Cool gals (pun intended) will shine in colors with blue undertones like mint green, indigo, lilac, blush pink, silver and white.
If you’re a neutral tone wear: Lucky you, you’ll look great in everything! Try experimenting with monochromatic outfits, pattern play and color blocking this season.
No matter what shade you are, never be afraid to shake up your color palette! As long as you love it, you’ll look great!
